Description
Site Check List Before Selection

Before selecting a model, confirm the following:

  • Cabinet external dimensions (W×H×D)
  • Cabinet wall thickness and material
  • Total heat generation inside the cabinet
  • Maximum ambient temperature around the cabinet
  • Minimum ambient temperature around the cabinet
  • Ambient humidity and dust condition
  • Available space outside the cabinet
  • Available space inside the cabinet
  • Power supply voltage and frequency
  • Whether drainage is possible

This list helps avoid selecting a model that cannot be installed or cannot reach the required temperature.

Cabinet Internal Space and Component Layout

Check the internal layout before installation:

  • Distance between the air outlet and nearby components
  • Whether wiring or terminal blocks block the air path
  • Whether the PLC or control module is in the direct air path
  • Whether the cabinet has internal fans
  • Whether the cabinet has a partition or inner door

If the cabinet has an inner door or partition, confirm the air outlet and return air inlet positions do not conflict with the inner door.

Mounting Surface Selection

The unit can be mounted on different surfaces:

Mounting Surface

Points to Confirm

Side panel

Panel strength, opening position, cable route

Front door

Door hinge direction, door opening angle, cable flexible section

Top panel

Rain protection, drainage route, maintenance access

Rear panel

Wall clearance, maintenance access

For a cabinet door installation, the cable and drainage pipe need a flexible section to allow the door to open.

Mounting Surface Strength and Opening Position

Before opening the cabinet, confirm:

  • Panel thickness and material
  • Whether the panel can support the unit weight
  • Whether the opening position conflicts with internal components
  • Whether the opening position conflicts with the door hinge or lock
  • Whether a mounting frame or reinforcement plate is required

For thin panels or non-metal panels, a mounting frame or reinforcement plate may be required.

Cable and Drainage Route

Confirm the route before installation:

  • Power cable route from the distribution unit
  • Cable length and protection conduit
  • Drainage pipe route and downward slope
  • Drainage outlet position
  • Whether the drainage outlet is away from electrical components

If the cabinet is installed in a location without drainage, a condensate collection container may be required.

Cabinet Sealing and Dust Protection

Confirm the sealing condition:

  • Sealing gasket condition on the cabinet door
  • Cable entry sealing
  • Opening sealing after installation
  • Air inlet filter condition
  • Maintenance interval for filter cleaning

If the cabinet is in a dusty environment, confirm the sealing level before installation. If the cabinet has existing ventilation openings, confirm whether they need to be closed.

Maintenance Access

Reserve maintenance access around the unit:

  • At least 500 mm in front of the unit for filter cleaning
  • At least 300 mm on the air outlet side
  • Space for opening the electrical cover
  • Space for drainage pipe inspection

If the cabinet is installed in a narrow space, confirm the maintenance access before installation.

Commissioning and Acceptance Record

After installation, record the following:

  • Cabinet internal temperature at the air return inlet
  • Cabinet internal temperature at the air outlet
  • Ambient temperature
  • Unit running current
  • Cabinet door sealing condition
  • Drainage pipe condition

If the cabinet internal temperature cannot reach the set point, check heat generation, air path, sealing, and ambient temperature.

FAQ

Q: Can the unit be installed on the cabinet door?

A: Yes, but confirm the door hinge direction, door opening angle, and cable route. The power cable and drainage pipe need a flexible section so the door can open without pulling the cable or pipe. Confirm the door panel strength can support the unit weight.

Q: What should be checked if the cabinet internal temperature cannot reach the set point?

A: Check the following: actual total heat generation, air outlet and return air inlet blockage, cabinet sealing condition, ambient temperature around the cabinet, and air inlet filter condition. If the actual heat generation is higher than the design value, select a larger model.
